The world’s first online fashion show

Design Lead and Product Owner

Role

Translate the creativity and excitement of the physical experience into an online one in less than three months.

The challenge

The design approach

I took a modular approach to the MVP design and site build, which allowed for streamlined updates to the platform season by season. I started with a detailed discovery phase which comprised of the following:

  • User research

  • Stakeholder interviews

  • Content audit

  • Site maps

  • Mood boards

  • Project roadmaps

  • Wireframes

  • Mocks

Designer Profiles

Designers could personalise their profile colour to match their seasonal palette.

They can upload inspiration references and photos/videos of their collections, giving them creative control over their presentation.

Access for all

Ensuring things were fully responsive was a huge part of the brief, so the team I ensured we took our time to get it right.

The feed

In addition to being a platform for the shows, it needed to be a hub for all their great content on other platforms.

The Schedule

Evolved beyond 2020 to include physical events as well as online ones.
